Technical Notes: Proper fixation is of critical importance when decalcifying bone. Improperly fixed tissues will exhibit poor morphology following decalcification. 10% Phosphate Buffered Formalin is the recommended fixative although some applications may require a different fixative. The choice of fixative should be determined by the user.
Decalcification End-Point Set #1051: Used to determine complete decalcification if radiography is not available.
Decalcifying Solution, HCL/EDTA
(use: Excellent for bone marrows. Gentle but quick!)
