AFB acid fast bacteria stain kit

AFB, Basic Fuchsin, Ellis & Zabrowarny Stain Kit

This procedure, with included microwave modification, provides a safer method for staining acid-fast bacilli without the use of phenol.  A surfactant substitution is made for phenol which renders the bacterial cell wall permeable to the stain, with results comparable to the traditional Ziehl-Neelsen method.

Part # 91012A250ml kit $104.80H

AFB fite fites acid fast bacteria stain kit

AFB, Fite Stain Kit

This stain kit is used to detect the presence of either Nocardia sp. or Mycobacterium leprae sp. (causative agent of leprosy) in tissue sections with minor variations in the procedure.

Part # 91013A250ml kit $136.80H

AFB acid fast bacteria ziehl neelsen stain kit

AFB, Ziehl-Neelsen Stain Kit

This procedure is used to demonstrate the presence of acid-fast mycobacteria in tissue sections. Acid-fastness is a physical property of certain bacteria and cellular structures.  Carbol Fuchsin Stain, Ziehl-Neelson, combines phenol and basic fuchsin that works to permeate the lipoid capsule of acid-fast organisms and renders them resistant to acid alcohol decolorization.

Part # 9101A250 ml kit $69.90H

differential stain kit microorganism stain

Differential Stain Kit

(use: Hematological Staining & Special Stain for Helicobacter pylori)

  • 2 year shelf-life

The Differential Stain kit for Smears and Touch Imprints, a modification of the Wright Giemsa Stain technique, uses aqueous based stain solutions and a methanol fixative.  This stain kit provides a rapid 3-step process that can be used for differential assessment of:  peripheral blood smears, touch imprints, fine needle aspirations (FNA), bone marrow biopsy aspirations, as well as detecting microorganisms.

The Differential Stain procedure Helicobacter Pylori, sp. in Tissue Sections, a modification of the Wright Giemsa stain technique, provides a rapid staining method for demonstration of Helicobacter pylori sp. in gastrointestinal tissue sections. Procedures for both monochromatic and polychromatic versions of the Differential Stain are provided.

Part # 9112B500ml kit $70.50H

fungus stain kit grocott methenamine silver gms

Fungus, Grocott Methenamine Silver (GMS) Stain Kit

This procedure, with included microwave modification, is one of the best staining methods for demonstrating a variety of fungal organisms including: Pneumocystis carinii, Aspergillus, Blastomyces, Candida and Histoplasma.

Part # 9121A250ml kit $251.90H
Part # 9121B500ml kit $457.30H

fungus stain kit pas light green

Fungus, PAS/Light Green Stain Kit

This procedure is used for identifying fungus and glycoproteins. Polysaccharides present in fungal cell walls are oxidized by the periodic acid to aldehydes. The aldehydes then react with Schiff Reagent, McManus to yield magenta colored fungi.

Part # 9122A250ml kit $147.40

gram stain kit brown and hopps

Gram, Brown-Hopps Stain Kit

This procedure, is a superior and consistently reliable Gram stain that uses Gallego Solution to differentiate and fix staining of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria in tissue sections.

Part # 9124A250ml kit $134.00H

gram stain kit brown brenn brown-brenn modified

Gram, Brown-Brenn Modified Stain Kit

This procedure is the traditional method used for differential staining of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria in tissue sections, cultures and smears.

Part # 9123A250ml kit $149.80H

gram stain kit hucker twort

Gram, Hucker-Twort Stain Kit

This stain kit is a rapid and simple procedure that stains gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria without the use of picric acid.  The Fast Green secondary counterstain provides the green background for clear detection of any red gram-negative bacteria present.
