IQ AIR® PURIFIER
Stop plugging your nose and rid your lab of formalin, xylene & alcohol fumes with the latest in laboratory air filtration technology, the GC and GCX Series by IQ Air®. Cartridges are made of activated carbon and alumina which removes compounds with high molecular weights such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs) i.e. xylene and toluene. For low molecular weight, such as formaldehyde, the filter contains an activated alumina impregnated with potassium permanganate. All filters physically bind contaminated molecules and then chemically destroy them through oxidation. The initial HEPA filter will remove anything 0.3 microns or larger. No oxygen or ozone is generated, since the process is media based only. Each unit has user programmable features such as an integrated On/Off timer, six-speed fan & remote control. Unit will alert user when to change filters and cartridges.
